Job Description :
* Our client is looking for a Product Manager with a passion for TV & entertainment to own our client's IPTV Features including Network DVR (nDVR), Video on Demand, Startover, catchup and linear video products. This position is critical to our ever-expanding drive to change the way people interact with video entertainment.
* This position is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to impact millions of users buying a product through our Service Provider partners in North America, Latin America and Europe including leading media companies throughout the world.
Here's what you get to do:
* Define the strategy, features and product roadmap for our client's IPTV Features including Network DVR (nDVR), Video on Demand, Startover, catchup and linear video products. This includes both the APIs through which the functionality is delivered to the end devices, and the back-end tools to manage the service.
* Collaborate with other Product Managers to define how subscribers will interact with the nDVR service on various devices.
* Manage relationships with technology partners to ensure our client s success in the space.
* Partner with Engineering to maximize customer, partner, and competitive impact with development priorities, cost, and schedules
* Partner with our Sales team and Product Marketing Managers to package, deliver and deploy our client s capabilities to Service Provider partners at home or overseas
* Define the performance, operational and toolset requirements and KPI's with Engineering and other cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, accuracy, scalability and reliability for these video capabilities.
Key Skills:
* Business and Operational Expertise - Demonstrable expertise in managing business, technical, and operational aspects of a content service infrastructure
* Strong analytical and presentation skills - TiVo expects product managers to be able to prepare, present and defend business justifications to senior members of the executive team
* Minimum of 5 years experience - As a product manager in a technical environment preferably at a video-based services company.
* Prior Experience - Knowledge of video storage and playback technologies.
* Curiosity We are looking for people that demonstrate natural curiosity to dig into complex problems and understand our customers needs.
* Strategic Vision - self-starter, leader, high energy level, excellent communication skills.
* Balance - Ability to demonstrate capability to manage multiple projects and to prioritize activities for optimal results
* Strong Team Orientation - and a track record of working collaboratively with internal and external team members (engineers, user experience designers, customers, etc) in a fast-paced environment to drive direction on product requirements and decisions
* Exceptional attention to detail
Education Requirements
* Bachelor's degree required (must have a technical undergraduate degree or be able to demonstrate technical capabilities with job experience)
* MBA preferred, or representative experience of equal value
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 4 months plus contract (plan is contract to hire)
Location: Remote to start (will transition eventually to an onsite role in either Durham, NC or Tulsa OK)
