Policy Analyst (DOD, Army Control Systems, MS Office, Manpower Analysis / Financial Planning):

  • ship.
  • Policy Analyst will work closely with the Task Lead and Deputy in supporting the Integration, Policy and Resources Tasks.
  • The Policy Analysts responsibilities include providing recommendations, development and distribution of Control Systems policy; assisting with strategic planning and prioritization of efforts across the integration, policy and resource task; assisting with defining position descriptions and personnel level of effort as well as developing personnel and processes as it relates to Control Systems; assisting with the manpower study and resourcing issues; assisting with developing and managing the functional working groups and governance.
  • Ideally the Policy Analyst will bring insight from an Industry perspective on methodology, process, and technology to influence best practices for the Army.
  • Excellent communication skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint) required.
  • The ideal candidate should have a general understanding of the Department of Defense organizational structure, and a working understanding of U.S. Army staff and processes.
  • Experience in Control Systems is strongly preferred, but experience developing Army policy and establishing processes and resource requirements would be equally sufficient.
  • Experience with manpower analysis and financial planning and programming is a plus.
  • BA/BS in operations research, management science, computer science, information technology, information management, information sciences, business administration, or related field preferred.
