Job Title: Network Migration Resource 

Location: remote

Environment and Culture:
Replacing Checkpoint, hardware devices already received at the customer site

 

Technologies in current environment:

 

 

Key Project:

 

  • Work with client to lead the migration of two (2) HA pairs of Checkpoint 16200 series NGFWs to new PA-5250 HA pairs with Threat Prevention (2 separate DCs, perimeter firewalls).
  • SME Documentation, knowledge transfer Sit with both Networking/Security Team Great environment
  • Top skills/tools, etc. that are MUST haves
  • Panorama -Expertise with Panorama to integrate and manage these additional new firewalls to existing Panorama (management, log forwarding, templates, policies).
  • Expert in routing protocols such as BGP
  • Expert with IPSec VPNs.
  • An understanding of integrating these new firewalls with Peel Police's existing solutions:
  • Netmotion VPN for remote access
  • Zscaler for web security
  • Understanding of PAN-OS HA clustering prerequisites/topologies/h ow it functions and is deployed.
  • Expert in App-ID and User-ID; Peel Police leverages many sanctioned applications such as Cisco WebEx.
  • Able to conduct the following activities for ongoing optimization and improvement of Peel Polices' firewall deployments (they have existing PA-220s, PA-850s, PA-3220s, PA-5220s, and PA-5250s)
  •  BPAs
  • Health Checks
  • Security Operations Integration Service for NGFW
  • SecOps Optimization for
  • NGFW Ongoing Service
  • The Engineer will be expected to focus on:
    Checkpoint is a plus
  • Waiver Release Authorization Form and Security check required. (Separate documents)
  • US or Canadian citizenship is required.
  • Travel to Canada is required:Yes, at least once to the client site in Toronto, Canada 1 x per 6months
