Mobile Engineer Job Details
* We are currently looking for an experienced iOS/Android developer to help develop an Android version of an app that currently exists using Apple''s Research Kit.
* The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has built and released iOS and Android apps from the ground up.
* Work with web, iOS and Android engineers to maintain consistency across platforms
* Assist and communicate with back-end development team to ensure efficient and secure communications
* Responsible for Integrating wearable devices such as FitBit through Healthkit and GoogleFit.
* Expected to code across the client''s technology stack consisting of Linux, Apache, PHP, Oracle/MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Able to solve complex coding problems and provide stable, and secure code independently; develop code that is cross-browser compatible for desktop, tablet, and mobile phone experiences; develop code with relational databases; and work with APIs either integrating with a third party or creating custom APIs.
* Must be able to continue updating their skills as technology changes over time
Mobile Engineer Mandatory Skills
* Required: Java, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, RESTful APIs
* Preferred: Objective-C, Swift
* At least two years of industry experience.
* Android development experience
* A history of shipping multiple Android apps
* A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
* Must be experienced developing web-based applications with PHP and browser technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Must have and understanding of object orientation concepts; experience developing with relational databases; experience with developing responsive web applications
* Experience with version control systems such as GIT, SVN, Mercurial, or similar, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute and communicate effectively
* Working with Oracle & MySQL
* Experience with Java, and Java frameworks such as Struts
* Experience with one or more PHP frameworks such as Codeigniter, Laravel, or similar.
* Experience in native app development in android and IOS
* Experience in geofences (not merely location services)
* Integrating wearable devices such as Fit through Healthkit and GoogleFit
* Developing Android or iOs apps
* Experience with Bootstrap
* Experience with WordPress
* Familiarity with user experience (UX) design processes (conceptual design, wireframes, usability testing)
* Experience with Linux and basic shell scripting
* Experience with cloud hosting
