Sr. Production support consultant @ Irving, TX for 12 Months - Remote
This role requires the person to be able to
- Do installation, configuration, and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the application run time environment.
- Do advanced troubleshooting of moderately complex software applications. and solve complex problems utilizing industry standard tools.
- Work with the development staff to determine operational requirements for test/production environments.
- Do configuration, deployment, and operational support of production/dr/staging environments for multiple applications.
- Keep current with emerging software enhancements, security patches and bug fixes.
- Monitor application server performance and respond appropriately
- Monitor systems capacity and performance through APM (application perf monitoring) tools,
- Plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide Tier 1-2 technical support.
- Be highly flexible in hours of work because of the mission critical nature of the apps being supported
This role requires the person to have:
- Experience with supporting salesforce applications
- Experience with at least 1 log monitoring tool (Splunk, ELK, etc), and at least 1 APM tool (CA-APM, AppDynamics, New Relic, Catchpoint)
- 3+ years of experience in production/application support
- AssureOne (Federos / Monolith) or other Network Management System experience
- Experience with Network Management tools and event message formats, such as SNMPv3 Traps, SYSLOG, and Log-Files
- Strong experience with working on UNIX Command Line
- Good working knowledge of Weblogic, MQ, Java, Jenkins, Shell-scripting, JIRA, Confluence
- Strong troubleshooting skills, strong shell scripting/perl skills
- Excellent analytical skills, problem-solver mindset, go-getter attitude with attention to detail (MUST for production environment)
