? Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalentrequired.
? Minimum5-7 years’ related experience.
? Highly proficient in Python and Django.
? Strong experience with synchronous and asynchronous interfaces andmicroservice API development is a must.
? Solid experience with database development(SQL or NOSQL on the server).
? AWS/Cloud Environment experience and skill sets,specifically in provisioning, scaling, and deployments.
? Strong debugging/profiling skills.
? Knowledgeableabout other technologies and able to suggest integration solutions, includingthird-party APIs.
? Hands-onexperience with Docker, DevOps, Jira, Jenkins and Git is desirable.
? Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills.
? Demonstratedability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
? Demonstratedexcellence in a variety of competencies including teamwork/collaboration,analytical thinking, communication and influencing skills, and technicalexpertise.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Must be able to: Manage an offshore developmentteam of Django Developers; owns code reviews, provides oversight and feedback.
Reporting to the Director, ApplicationArchitecture, the Lead Application Systems Developer assumes responsibility forthe development and solutioning of new features and functions in the newStudent Information System (SIS). The Lead provides expertise inarchitecting, designing, developing and solutions of the existing and newlydeveloped applications in the area of Student Information System using theDjango Python web framework. In addition, the Lead oversees the analysis,project scope, issue resolution and change analysis to complex, interrelatedsystems that cross multiple platforms -- including the Mainframe, SQL Serverand Linux -- to fulfill complicated requirements. The Lead is responsible forenhancing the applications as well as supporting ongoing needs and meetingcustomers’ expectations and service level agreements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Provideshands on development and architecture experience in new product development inthe area of Student information system using new technology stacks and designplatform.
? Managesan offshore development team of Django Developers; owns code reviews, providesoversight and feedback.
? Responsiblefor providing end to end solutions by analyzing and gathering requirements,devising solution design and implementation of solution.
? Leadsall phases of application development, including requirements, analysis,construction, testing, and deployment to ensure the quality of the system isenhanced.
? Engageswith business analysts, project managers, UX specialists and clients on allphases of a client's project.
? Coordinatesand prioritizes development and maintenance tasks.
? Coordinatesdeployment and integration activities with Systems groups.
? Ensuressynchronization between changes to mainframe SIS and SSOL and relatedapplications.
? Collaborateswith colleagues to recommend changes to existing solution designs to fulfilltechnical requirements.
? Leadsin planning and implementation of required upgrades and system migrations.
? Contributesto and assists in development of test plans and provides technical support inall phases of testing and QA leading to implementation.
? Allother duties as assigned.
