Title: IP Network Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Remote Role)
Duration: 6+ Months
Req Details:
Candidates must have IP Networking experience from a Broadband or Fixed Wireless company
Los Angeles, CA (mostly remote but need to be local to go onsite for training and client meetings)
Exciting IP Network Engineer opening in the California market! Role can be mostly remote but candidate must be local to Los Angeles in order to train and be onboarded onsite, and for occasional site visits
Description:
· Planning, design, and support of our IP network infrastructure including routing, switching, wireless, security and monitoring
· Network design of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
· Own the implementation of IPv6 and MPLS-TE
· Work with licensed microwave to fiber, WDM, point to point, frame relay as well as DOCSiS based delivery
· Support Wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n and licensed and unlicensed microwave spectrum
· Design of OSPF, BGP, MPLS, EIGRP, IGRP, HSRP, VRRP, ETHERNCHANNEL, PORT SECURITY, VLAN/trunking, QoS
· Utilize Dude, Solarwinds and Liber for Monitoring
· Other tasks as required
Requirements:
· Experience in designing OSPF, BGP, MPLS, EIGRP, IGRP, HSRP, VRRP, ETHERNCHANNEL, PORT SECURITY, VLAN/trunking, QoS
· Strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 Network background
· IPv6 and MPLS implementation expertise
· Skills in the RF - Wireless 802.11 space
· Ability to work onsite in Sherman Oaks, CA for training and when required
