Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Brooklyn , NY (On site only day 1)

Duration: 12 months ( Contract)

Must be Vaccinated

Job Description:

  • 2 years of in-depth, hands on experience's in the design, implementation and support of networking solutions, working in a large scale multivendor environment.
  • Must possess deep, in-depth knowledge and experience of networking protocols (e.g., IP, SMTP, SIP, HTTP) and network topologies (e.g., Ethernet, MPLS, Wireless, Sonet, DWDM,).
  • Must have a solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and their operating systems in addition to network management processes and principles.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles, concepts and methodologies (PMM).
  • Expert level proficiencies in network and security infrastructure (e.g., Routers, Switches, Firewalls, NAC and IDS systems.
  • Expert proficiency using Internet/Extranet/Intranet technologies, intrusion detection, network analysis and protocol analysis tools and transaction analysis.
  • Must be able to recognize and mitigate network security threats.
  • Must be able to develop and implement system management tools and processes such as HPNA, Cisco Works and MRTG.
  • PC Skills, MS Office, Project, VISIO.

Responsibilities:

  • This support includes the gathering of business requirements, the planning, sizing and implementation of a wide range networking and security solutions.
  • Once implemented, these engineers provide ongoing support of the network devices which includes resolving issues, monitoring capacities, ensuring compliance and the implementation functionality changes.
  • They actively participate in large scale network solution planning, architecture design and redesign efforts and in reengineering efforts.
  • Provide consultation and solutions to the organization regarding connectivity options, network capabilities and limitations, systems requirements and security requirements.
  • Manage and/or participate on corporate projects and initiatives which require network solutions.
  • Work to isolate and resolve network and system problems (e.g., protocol analysis, system errors, interoperability problems).
  • Implement network security systems, protections and counter measures.
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures and process documentation.
