Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 5-months initially, potential for extension orconversion
Job Description: Come join our Client's API and Platform team. We arelooking for a strong SDE to join our Web API team. This team is responsible forsupporting Web API's for the mobile and web application teams. We do all themiddle tier development for applications used/created by the whole company. Aswe are consumer facing and very highly trafficked you need to have a backgroundworking on consumer facing, high throughput web applications
Required background?Skills?:
? 4 years of experienceworking as an SDE at an Enterprise Level (consumer facing). Or Masters degreewith 2 years of experience
? 2 years of experiencebuilding web apis in C# and .net
? Hands on experience indeveloping and shipping high throughput REST APIs
? Ability to read/write SQLqueries
? Experience with APItesting, performance testing and performance debugging tools
Nice-to-Haves:
? 2 years of experiencebuilding cloud native web apis
? 3 years of experience inAWS application development and monitoring
? 3 years of experiencebuilding scalable Kubernetes EKS applications
? Experience witharchitecture involving asynchronous workflows such as Kafka
? Experience with NoSQLdatabases such as Cassandra or DynamoDB
? Solid experience inobservability and monitoring tools such as NewRelic, Splunk, DataDog,AppInsights
? Experience with Apigeegateway and proxy development
? Experience inauthorization and authentication mechanisms on REST APIs
? Hands on experience indesigning and documenting REST APIs and system integrations documentation
? Experience in lifting andshifting services from on-prem to cloud
? Infrastructure automationsuch as Chef, Terraform, ARM templates
? Experience with DevOpstechniques and practices
? Bachelor’s Degree incomputer science or related field
? Experience withPowerShell and command line scripts
