Must Haves

Minimum of 3 years architecture experience
Ability to engage in as well as lead high level discussions of system enhancements
Provide design recommendations covering process, system infrastructure, and interfacing between systems
Ability to create and present High Level Assessments and Design documents to management and application teams
Experience and strong understanding of the following technologies:
oLegacy mainframe environment [Cobol/JCL/Procs/DB2]
oLegacy client server environment [ASP, ASP.NET, C#, VB, SQL Server, Oracle DB, Java]
oCurrent cloud environments & associated services [AWS, EKS, etc.] as well as modern languages and frameworks [Spring, React, Kafka, Kinesis, open source software]
Ability to run design meetings and negotiate solutions across teams
Ability to multi-task across multiple architecture projects at different phases of the life cycle
Strong written [High Level Assessment/Design documents, flow charts, sequence diagrams, etc.] and oral skills for facilitating and representing architecture at meetings
Strong analytical and logical skills for guiding teams to logical solutions
Strong ability to decompose a legacy system into its piece parts for transformational replacement

Nice to Haves

Experience and knowledge of Verizon's Bill to Cash & Revenue systems
Knowledge of Verizon's Northstar Architecture plans
