Business Analyst

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the following functions:

  • The Analyst role will assist application teams to onboard to our Confluent-based event streaming applications, Integrated Event Bus (IEBUS) and Integrated Service Bus (ISBUS).
  • Provide assistance in migrating existing clients from legacy Message Router application to the replacement applications IEBUS and ISBUS.
  • Work with other Analysts in this same role, with overlapping shifts, to provide additional time coverage for our clients.
  • Gather client requirements and analyze them as part of onboarding efforts.
  • Review technical options (client frameworks, configurations, etc.) for using our applications with client architects and developers.
  • Review client application code and configuration files with focus on calls to our applications, to ensure adherence to our best practices.
  • Assist in refining and documenting our best practices for using Confluent for our clients.
  • Help review and refine processes our clients use for onboarding.  Suggest improvements to our development staff, for the onboarding tools we provide our clients.
  • Provide input into our on-prem and Azure environments to ensure they are right-sized for UAT and Production capacity.

Experience required

  • 7 years minimum IT experience
  • Java language or other programming language fundamentals (not a requirement to be a developer, but need to understand code at high-level)
  • Capacity planning for Linux VMs from hardware perspective
