Position: AWS Developer with Python
Position: 6 months

Job Description:
 
  • This is for client in their data analytics team. The massive data migration has been mostly completed to move the data up to the cloud. This project is about organizing that data using Redshift and designing the analytics for that data. So it is ETL in that the data is being accessed from various cloud based data lakes and data marts and brought into new cloud based Redshift database to be analyzed and processed. They specifically said no DevOps people. Certs are great but not required. AWS Developer certification would be helpful.
  • Duration: Through 2022
  • Roles: 1 role, could be 2
  • Location: This is fully virtual. They would prefer someone in the central or eastern time zone but not a deal killer
  • Skills: ETL, Python, Redshift, SQL, AWS, S3, EMR, Lambda, Fargate, SNS, Elastics Beanstalk, ECS, Cloudwatch, Code Pipeline, Flyway
    Required Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience with AWS Development and Cloud Architecture.
  • 4+ years of experience with Python
  • Must have strong experience with SQL and SDLC.
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS S3 and EMR required.
  • Strong experience with Amazon RedShift is required.
  • Strong experience with data migration, cloud migration, and ETL.
  • Must have good experience with AWS Lambda, Fargate, SNS, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with AWS Code Pipeline and CI/CD
  • Experience in processing large scale data, database concepts and SQL.
  • Proficiency with job scheduling and Flyway.
  • Experience with enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, and big data.
  • Excellent communication skills to ask questions, clarify requirements, and engage with the team and stakeholders.
  • Strong logic, reasoning, and critical thinking skills to solve problems as they arise.
  • Adaptive to change: Demonstrated ability to problem solve on the fly and tailor your approach to the resources at hand.
  • Must be an independent problem solver who can evaluate a situation and build solution options.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or related is required.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Jenkins is preferred.
  • Experience with R is preferred.
  • AWS Cloud certifications are a plus.
  • Master’s degree is preferred
