Role: Release Engineer
Location: Fort Worth TX & Melbourne,FL
Essential Responsibilities
• Work with Customer, engineering and project management to develop software release plans
• Facilitate quarterly defect backlog planning with lead systems engineers and project engineers
• Work with Cyber Security organization to ensure compliance to standards through the SDLC
• Coordinate performance metric collection and analysis with software and validation engineers
• Provide technical mentoring for more junior software engineers as needed
• Design, implement and test software for embedded systems from requirements analysis through production and commercial deployment.
• Work closely with the business unit to ensure application development meets product specification requirements.
• Participate actively in design and code reviews.
• Drive performance and reliability enhancements.
• Develop documentation including SW design, SW requirements, SW process and SW architectures.
• Experience with SW configuration management tools
• Experience with SW analysis tools and SW unit test tools
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 5 years developing embedded software.
• Experience leading technical projects or project teams.
• Strong understanding of software design, methods, and architectural approaches.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles.
