QA Automation Engineer

Job Title : Automation Lead

Location – San Ramon, CA (First day - Onsite or 2 mnths from joining)

This position is critical to the growth and continued success of the organization with responsibility for quality assurance of the group's products and services.

The ideal candidate will apply his/her working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and work alongside our Creative and Engineering departments

to help develop cutting edge software that speeds up the medical trial process.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Collaborate with engineering team to plan and manage agile software development sprints for multiple customers, simultaneously.

• Design traceability matrices, test plans and test scripts for mobile and platform software requirements
• Execute test scripts, evaluate, and troubleshoot to detect errors and bugs
• Coordinate testing activities with additional QA testers
• Conduct integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, prioritized, documented, tracked, and resolved in a defect tracking system.

• Collaborate with creative team to plan and manage mobile app testing
• Design & Develop Test Automation; Lead test automation efforts for the platform (API, Web, Mobile)
• Experience developing standards for testing framework (including keyword driven, data driven, coding standards, naming standards etc.)
• Experience with leading and participating in architecture and design discussions
• Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and a strong background in API Web, and Mobile Automation.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of object-oriented programming with a deep working knowledge in Java
• 5+ years of building and extending test framework in Java
• 3+ years of experience testing web applications with Selenium
• 3+ years of REST API Testing using RestAssured or similar Test Automation
• 2+ years of CI/CD experience (Jenkins)
• 5+ years in Linux/CentOS/UNIX environment
• Experience with Git/Gitlab/GitHub in gitflow required.
• Working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL DBs (MongoDB)
• Experience with leading and participating in QE automation architecture and design discussions
• Experience developing standards for testing framework (including keyword driven, data driven, coding standards, naming standards)
• Experience with JIRA for tracking user stories and defects
• Ability to work cross-functionally with high attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with management of direct reports such as timesheet approvals, annual reviews etc
• Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
• Experience with an Agile-based organization
• Must have experience in Java.
• 5+ years of building and extending test framework in Java

• 1+ years of experience testing mobile applications
• Experience with JIRA for tracking user stories, as well as defects

Preferred

• Comfortable diving into new technical UNIX environments.
• Knowledge of testing web services including calling SOAP and REST end points using JSON and XML
• Testrail experience using Custom Reports and API integration
• Javascript/NodeJS (Mocha and Playwright)
