Our client is seeking a Contractor Junior Test Engineer who is energetic, creative and team oriented to support system and subsystem integration on a SATCOM system.
The individual will be part of an integration team that develops automated tests for a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, Selenium, Python, Java and Docker containers in an agile environment
Responsibilities
• Develop automated tests running in Docker containers for web-based operator interfaces and real-time software components on a Linux platform
• Analyze user needs, develop user stories and write test cases and test scenarios based on the acceptance criteria defined for the user story
• Document and report the results of testing activities
• Work with developers to resolve problems with software
• Analyze logs using ELK/EFK stack
• Perform as part of an agile team, utilizing Scrum best practices
Requirements
• Bachelor39;s or Master39;s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• 1-5 years of software test and integration experience of complex real-time applications running on Linux platforms
• 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, scripting languages Python/Shell, source control systems (GIT)
• 1 to 2 years of experience using socket programming (TCP/IP, UDP) in a test environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline
• Experience in an agile environment
• Familiarity with Docker containers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively within a team environment
