Sr. QA Engineer
The QA will assist existing teams to efficiently build, test, and deliver complex web/mobile systems using varying data sources. It is critical that candidates have a thorough understanding of SQL statements, data validation, and other skills for testing and analyzing data sources. Prior experience working with cloud data sources and platforms will be highly preferred. Candidates will be responsible for all test procedures, results, and process recommendations in a fast-moving team. The role will have frequent interaction with Agile team members, including other QAs, a BA, and developers—so communication and coordination skills will be vital. The ability to take initiative in writing and executing test cases within Agile Scrum approach will also be important.
Requirements and Skills:
5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
Technical understanding of ETL and related testing, SQL and stored procedures development, cloud-based solutions and deployment concepts
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) strongly preferred
Develop test cases and test scenarios that provide thorough coverage of implemented features, configuration changes, data integrations, validations, and other change requests
Writing and executing SQL queries for data testing, preferably in Oracle 11g and SQL Server 2012 or higher
Ability to create test cases—both manual and automated—from user stories and requirements
Create, update and track execution of test cases
Previous experience automating tests using Selenium Webdriver or comparable software/tools
Ability to develop automation scripts in Java/JEE preferred
Ability to execute QA testing, interpret test results, and document outcomes
Identify, replicate, report and track issues to closure in JIRA
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience in insurance, healthcare, or another claims-intensive industry is desired
