Job Description:
Gather and craft the rate tables in an efficient and repeatable way – Currently, we do not have a fully built out method to pull and manipulate relativities in a way that can be used for rating a policy. We have explored pulling the relativities from the Section Bs, Rate Manuals and existing .dat files and have short term solutions to get the project started. We do not currently have a good solution for building this process out in the long-term. Ideally, this would tie directly with IT because the new process will need to create future .dat/json/html files. Having support from an IT minded individual would be beneficial to help architect what this should look like to fully meet the long-term needs of pricing, IT, model support team and ratemaking.
Data Manipulation in python for BDW pulls – We could possibly use support in data pulling/manipulating the existing BDW tables into tables that can be used to re-rate a policy. Note, we have processes already existing to do this in SAS. The expertise of a trained programmer to transfer the existing code into a python environment could help our timeline.
VBA support to create pricing tool – Once we have the rerater output, creating the tool such that it is easy for the front end user to understand and navigate will require VBA knowledge.
