JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Director of Workplace Strategy & Planning, the Workplace Strategist will help to develop innovative and effective workplace solutions that align with our organizational goals and coordinate cross functionally with Corporate Operations, Master Planning, Real Estate and Workplace Design on projects and initiatives.

Working as a collaborative team member, this role will help to develop and deliver activities within projects and initiatives, such as research, data analytics, visualization and presentation preparation for the Workplace team.

Additionally, this position will be exposed to the different aspects of workplace from analytical work to implementation of space data for the long-range planning of programming, design, and development of our workplace.

This strategist will be developing a strong knowledge of workplace experience with a focus on insights gathering to inform our workplace vision and strategy.


The Role

Based in Gilead’s headquarters in Foster City, California, the Workplace Strategist will help to lead workplace technology initiatives, manage and maintain workplace data across all our sites globally and analyze data to provide workplace recommendations.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Lead, implement and maintain workplace technology initiatives; coordinate these initiatives with cross functional teams
• Expertise in data and drawing management of CAFM system for large Enterprise company
• Knowledge and ability to generate Power BI dashboards from different sources of data
• Compile and analyze workplace data, organizes all data analytics and space solutions into workplace findings via presentation format for review and delivery
• Create, edit or revise workplace programs and scenarios
• Summarize complex and broad ideas in visually compelling and concise ways that are presentable for leadership
• Uses Gilead’s space planning algorithm tool to develop metrics for Workplace and Real Estate groups
• Conduct benchmarking studies and comparative analyses to better understand current competitive landscape of industry
• Research and analyze global shifts and trends in work behaviors to develop and improve recommendations with respect to the physical, digital and social workplace
• Keeps up to date with current and emerging trends and insights with workplace strategy, design and best practices

Requirements:
• Bachelor's/ Master’s Degree in Architecture/Interior Design
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit, 3D software, in addition to the ability to read drawings
• Proficiency in A e Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Ability to develop design concepts and presentations (Graphic design skills is a plus)
• Creative thinker who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys problem solving
• Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, open, collaborative environment and be able to prioritize tasks across multiple projects in different phases of completion.
