RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking strong, assertive, project manager who may have responsibility for a set of interrelated projects of large size and/or high complexity, and/or multiple projects of mixed complexity levels and sizes:

The project manager leads and manages IT projects.
This role manages, supports, and assists all aspects of a project from plan through the final implementation, ensuring governance process adherence, project continuity, and stakeholder management.
The project manager develops budgets and is responsible for performance against financial parameters and monitoring and reporting on projects.
He/She has responsibility for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts.
The Project manager is responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of business partners.
The role coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
The project manager is responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, and escalating associated risks, issues and change requests appropriately.
The role oversees the work of project based resources.
The project manager utilizes the corporate and department specific project management processes and methodologies to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet business partner expectations.
Project manager is also responsible for ensuring that the change management activities (the “people side” of change) are planned for and implemented.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of IT projects, including monitoring scope, schedule, cost, quality, dependencies, and benefits throughout the project lifecycle
Performs responsibilities with a significant degree of independence and expertise in managing multiple competing objectives and communicates complex technical information in clear and unambiguous terms to management and end-user personnel.
Develop and maintain project cost estimates, budgets and financial forecasts including performance against financial metrics
Create project artifacts, such as project plans/schedules, project charter, metrics, team and stakeholder communications and resource requirements
Identify and support acquisition of project resources as appropriate
Monitor and report project performance against the project plan and take corrective action when required
Ensure that requirements are developed, understood and prioritized
Ensure that deliverables meet the agreed upon requirements and are completed on schedule, within budget, and with the defined level of quality
Manage risks, issues and change requests and devise effective mitigation & escalation strategies
Manage the work of project-based resources and the day-to-day interactions with suppliers
Provide guidance for team members and review overall progress against assigned tasks
Provide critical feedback to the individual project team members and/or the team member’s manager when necessary
Ensure projects follow all company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards
Prepare and lead regular project status reviews with project sponsors/stakeholders
Propose governance structures and processes to drive and manage the project
Drive projects through project governance methodology and ensure compliance to stage gates
Capture lessons learned and communicate to the PMO for sharing with other projects
Manage the development, submittal and response scoring of any RFx’s
Work with project team to develop and execute Statements of Work with vendors

Knowledge and Experience:
Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools including Agile/Kanban/Scrum
Experience with planning and managing all phases of system development (e.g., requirements gathering, design, configuration, development, COTS selection, testing, conversion and application support)
Successful delivery of multiple cross-functional, medium to largescale, complex projects
Experience leading projects in multiple technologies and functions
Demonstrated understanding of leadership principles, resource management practices, and organizational change management techniques
Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities within a shared services organization model

Required/Preferred skills or experience:
Minimum of Seven (7) or more years of formal project manager experience delivering multiple, large-scale projects
PMP certification is required
Experience with Clarity/Open Work Bench is required
Knowledge of IT Asset Management transformation is desirable
Lean/Six Sigma experience is desirable
Experience in Utility industry is desirable

Education:
Bachelors or equivalent

Certifications/Licenses:
Project Management Professional (PMP)
