Programmer / Developer - Level 3 Toronto, ON Start Date 2021-01-18 End Date 2021-03-31 Description MSP Intake Notes consider start date to be ASAP* Must Haves (please read full requirements) Expert level in cloud platforms, especially OpenShift Cloud, Azure Cloud Development HTML 5, CSS, Angular, Javascript Micro services, RESTful services, Spring boot, Java Jenkins, pipeline, Dev-Ops, Kubernetes 10+ Database experience: Oracle or industry standard databases 10+ years of experience with developing applications in compliance with PCI UI/UX AODA Nice to Have Public Sector Maximum Number of Submissions per vendor: 4 Shortlisting deadline: Tuesday January 19th at 10:00am EST *Note: The candidates will be required to work on site until a VPN token can be procured. This will take approximately 4 weeks * A note on Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Onsite", however, the consultant will be remote due to COVID-19 related WFH direction. Once the IT cluster staff are required to return to the office, the resource under this request will be required to work onsite as well. A note on Extension/Amendment Attestation: Extension(s) only allowed using unused days/funds left on contract. No additional funds will be added beyond maximum contract value. Responsibilities Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests. General Skills Experience in programming and analysis at the specified experience level Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools Experience in one or more programming languages Experience in application design, latest design patters, deployment and troubleshooting Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages Experience with one or more communications protocols Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines Desirable Skills Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies Experience with middleware and gateways Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards Ability to provide user and system documentation as required Skills Experience and Skill Set Requirements Technical Skills and 10+ years of experience in the following: 50% Expert level in cloud platforms, especially OpenShift Cloud, Azure Cloud Development HTML 5, CSS, Angular, Javascript Micro services, RESTful services, Spring boot, Java Jenkins, pipeline, Dev-Ops, Kubernetes 10+ Database experience: Oracle or industry standard databases 10+ years of experience with developing applications in compliance with PCI UI/UX experience: 25% 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with CSS Extensive experience with responsive development and HTML5 Extensive experience with responsive development and supporting mobile interfaces AODA experience: 25% 10+ years of experience with developing J2EE application in compliance with PCI and WCAG 2.0 Standards, and bringing applications to AA/AAA compliance Experience with JAWS, WAI-ARIA, HTML 5, Hi Sheriff
