Qualifications: 

• 3 to 6 years of experience in digital product management 

• Curiosity and an understanding of digital products, specifically OTT, vMVPD and SVOD streaming services (e.g. AT&T TV, HBO Max, Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix). 

• Strong technical understanding of connected device ecosystem and platform features (e.g. Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV etc.) 

• Understanding of components that power a streaming service from content discovery to playback. 

• Excellent critical thinking skills – ability to size up a problem and break it down to digestible portions. 

• Exceptional user experience intuition and understanding across different consumption platforms. 

• Analytic rigor and data driven mindset. 

• Experience in agile development process (Scrum, Kanban) strongly preferred. 

• Understanding of how to develop rapid prototypes, wireframes and iterative development practices. 

• Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders on highly complex projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Product Manager, OTT Product Partnerships 

The OTT Product Partnership team is responsible for delighting AT&T TV customers by deeply integrating AT&T TV content and apps within streaming devices. 

The ideal candidate for this position should be passionate about TV, technology and entertainment. They will have an understanding of the video streaming industry. They should be the voice of the video streaming consumer and champion new initiatives that create a better OTT viewing experience. They should be comfortable interfacing with internal and external partners. 

In this role, you will… 

• Partner closely with internal and external teams to launch new, integrated experiences. 

• Be the voice of the customer and deliver innovative video product releases to meet user needs. 

• Pitch new features and product concepts. 

• Draft product requirements and partner integration documentation. 

• Understand 3rd party API and integration specifications 

• Manage a multi-year, multi-device and multi-platform product roadmap for new features. 

• Articulate the rationale and business objective of new features 

• Keep a pulse on the technology and streaming industries and understand the impact of new products on the OTT market. 

 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the creation of streaming products and features from ideation all the way through value case analysis, deployment and management. 

• Work directly with external partners and internal teams to bring new features to market. 

• Create product documentation including product requirements and use case definitions. 

• Help define and articulate long-term strategies for cross-platform video streaming services. 

• Partner with frontline teams on Go to Market execution to drive an exceptional customer experience 

• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and iterate plans as necessary 

• Research and analyze emerging trends in the marketplace and consistently benchmark competition. 

• Understand and communicate consumer behavior for existing products and features. 

• Cultivate and manage strong relationships among working teams and leadership across Product Development, Engineering, Operations, Design, IT, Marketing, Programming, Retail/Sales and Legal. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

1) Manages cross-functional teams through functional requirements gathering, implementation and validation through to initial launch or lifecycle of a service.  

2) Defines functional requirements for wireless services. 

3) Manages product development including product requirements gathering and definition, project planning, project management, budgeting, financial acumen, test design and execution, long term tactical roadmap and release management and planning.  

4) Communicates product requirements to various organizations such as IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Care, Sales.  

5) Leads vendor selection process, delivery, quality required.  

6) Develops, maintains, and distributes, standard project management deliverables for the successful launch of new data applications and devices, including: implementation plan, project schedule, issues & action items log, meeting minutes, risks assessment and contingencies.
