Job Description :

Role: Power BI Developer

Location: Pittsburgh PA/ Boston MA

What will you do? 

    Evaluate Business Intelligence landscapes and work with stakeholders to develop, enhance, automate and optimize analytical solutions.
    Create Power BI dashboards interfacing with multiple financial applications and file systems, including data models, reports, interactive visualizations
    Document and test work products and conduct data quality checks on a regular basis
    Develop in-depth understanding of data environment and leverage knowledge to build robust scalable solutions
    Work in partnership with team and business stakeholders to build and share knowledge, ensuring consistent delivery of information
    Lead work on projects that may involve interfaces across diverse hardware platforms, with multiple programming languages like python, development tools or data access tools

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline.

Experience

    Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and exploit established data architectures
    Experienced with BI dashboard design principals and data analytic strategies
    Successful analysis of data sources and mapping to key business requirements
    2-5 years of experience delivering complex business intelligence solutions

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into operational requirements
    Experience with agile development methodologies, tools, and team-based development like Jira, Atlassian suite
    3+ years’ Experience in Power BI Dashboard development, visualization and scripting, SQL Server, Oracle, Excel and Access.
    2+ years of working experience in SSAS Tabular & SSAS OLAP Models. 
    Python or Machine Leaning exposer.
    Proficiency with Azure, AWS redshift, and SQL databases. Fluent in EDW data management structures and external data skills.
    Strong interpersonal skills, excellent documentation skills
    Able to assume and complete assignments independently
    Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
    Source system knowledge a plus: QAD, SAP, MS dynamics, SFDC, other ERPs
    Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) experience
