Database Programmer to join a technologically advanced team focusing ondeveloping and enhancing the Lending applications. Candidate should be fluentin related technologies including Spring, databases, database interface layers,web protocols and standards, web browser display technologies (Angular) andassociated Java development tools. To be successful, the role will require theindividual to understand the banking technology landscape, and to offercreative solutions that integrate current capabilities with proprietary systembuilds.
Job Functions/Duties andResponsibilities:
• Hands-on development using PL/SQL and related technologies. • UnderstandingJava applications as well as multi-tier Java EE style applications in thefinance technology supporting all lending business lines. • Work as part of abanking Agile Squad. • Candidate must have good communication skills and canlead IT deliverables. • Working in the Agile development methodologies,collaborating with business and technology teams located globally. • Activelycontribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, dailystandups, and Agile ceremonies.
Skills Required:
• 7 years of experience working with large volumedatabases.
• Strong indatabase and UNIX Shell scripting.
• Hands onexperience working on Python (data manipulation, processing, loads etc.).
• Worked on high performance data loadsand extracts, performance tuning, optimizing database queries etc.
• Some experience with big data includingHadoop, Spark, and Hive.
• Tools for Version Control, JobScheduling etc.
• Experience in working with partners andstakeholders across geography and time zones.
• Good communication skills. Should beable to work across both Business Users and IT teams across regions and canlead IT deliverables.
• Working experience in agile developmentmethodologies.
• Understanding of requirements of largeenterprise applications (security, entitlements, etc.).
Skills Desired:
• Data modeling and implementation. • Experience with ETL tools likeInformatica.
EducationalQualification: • Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, ora related field
