Job Description
We are seeking a resourceful, focused and experienced individual to join our team in Philadelphia, PA as a Java Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a devotion to deliver high quality code in a fast paced, iterative development environment. As a software engineer, the candidate would work as part of the team to deliver core functions of the trading system. This includes
Working with business team to analyze the new requirements.
Codes, tests, debugs and implements and maintains software solutions.
Provides application software development services or technical support for production.
Implements and monitors routine system improvements to ensure successful installation and increased efficiency.
You will need the following skills and experience:
3+ years of professional Java software development experience
BS/MS in Computer Science, related degree, or comparable experience
Working knowledge of object oriented programming using languages like Java and/or C++
Experience with communication protocols and data structures for high performance systems.
Comfortable in a LINUX command-line environment
Knowledge one of more of development and test tools below
IDE – Eclipse, IntelliJ
Build - Git, Nexus, Gradle
Testing framework – JUnit or similar automated test framework
Proven track record for developing, releasing, and supporting multiple high quality products
Professional experience developing high performance, scalable, complex systems
Strong interpersonal skills, sense of humor and exceptional character
Developer team/technical experience using iterative methodologies a plus
