  • Level 1 and Level 2 are very similar however Level 1 position -> Will absolutely require:
    • Cisco Client: [ Cluster Design, Installation, Administration & Support ]
    • Cisco DNA: [ Cluster Design, Installation, Administration & Support ]
    • Desirable: [ Infoblox, HashCorp PKI ]
  • Level 2 will be more focused on LAN, for WAP troubleshooting, VSAN, Client, VRF, OSPFV3.

Job purpose
The Network Engineer I/II is responsible for designing and implementing functional network infrastructure and security, providing first and second level technical support to all internal clients/employees. The position monitors, troubleshoots, and diagnoses network performance, confidentiality, integrity and availability.
Job duties (Responsibilities and Accountabilities)

L1 Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Engineering projects to address and resolve business needs
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
Support & Troubleshoot functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Monitor network performance and integrity
Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Mentor team members on technical issues
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Communicate with users when needed
Maintain complete technical documentation
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
Documentation of the different environments
Skills and Experience required :
IT related degree qualification
>5+ years IT related work experience
Strong networking background with a focus on Cisco routers and switches hardware
Extensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting
Routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, ISIS
WAN connectivity
Spanning-tree, Port Channels, Load balancing,
Multicast PIM Sparse/Dense, MSDP, NAT
Quality Of Service understanding and configuration, able to customize across all Cisco platforms to support Voice, Video, and selected applications
Excellent understanding of VPN - site to site, client, IPSEC (including the protocol suite), IKE, DMVPN, tunnel modes, Tunnels between ASAs, Routers
Knowledge and experience of Network Security, including the design, configuration, and tuning of Cisco and Palo Alto appliances
Strong background in wireless communication design, configuration * Wireless site assessment and audit
Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning
MPLS traffic engineering design, configuration, and troubleshooting
LDP, TDP, RSVP Label distribution
MPBGP-VPNv4, Multi-VRF and VRF-Lite
Extensive knowledge of Datacenter design utilizing the Nexus product line
Cisco Application Centric Networking
Strong knowledge of the Cisco ASR 9000 product line
Implementing Cisco ASA series Firewalls, Client, and Client security solutions. Ability to configure and troubleshoot a wide variety of customer VPN's.
Implementing Cisco Wireless Controllers, Access-Points, and Unified Access solutions.
Load balancing traffic patterns (Cisco, F5, Citrix).
