• Manage client Vanguard Satellite and Cellular infrastructure
• Support iDirect&Comtech network planning, implementation, and optimization
• Provide satellite & IP network support for monitoring and troubleshooting customer networks
• Support satellite network modifications and upgrades
• Configure satellite network hubs, modems, servers, firewalls, and routers
• Provide on-call technical support to end users and technicians
• Support business development and RFP activity with RF & Satellite Network capacity calculations
• Work with teleports and operators to maintain and grow satellite network
• 3-5 Years Experience with iDirect satellite networking platform required
• Knowledge and hands on experience of iDirect technology, servers, protocol processors, line cards, modems, and Evolution software
• Knowledge and hands on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
• Knowledge and experience with IP networks using BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, RIP, EIGRP, Netflow, VoIP, SSH, and SNMP.
• Cisco Certifications a plus (CCENT, CCT, CCNA)
• Experience with Comtech EF Data Satellite equipment a plus
• Valid US Driver’s License

Roles & Responsibilities:   

1) Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software.  

2) Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs.  

3) Coordinates design and integration of total system including subsystems. 

4) Performs onsite data center support that includes problem management, change management, project support and new implementations.  

5) Supports testing, planning, problem management, change management and staging of network hardware and configurations.  

6) Provides customer support including testing network hardware and software, equipment installation and turn-up, and remote hands assistance as required.  

7) Provide support for sniffer and various application analysis tools for benchmarking and troubleshooting.  

8) Participate in identification of root cause analysis, resolution, outage mitigations, testing and implementation of vendor/IT fixes or design changes.  

9) Review proposed tech system designs in collaboration with team.
