Looking for a  Network / Systems Admin…

small shop so have to jump in to support Systems items occasionally; but focusing on the Network (Cisco) Admin expertise

Travel to Ohio for a few weeks to onboard.

Once Onboarding is done it will turn into a Hybrid opportunity.

Job Related Duties:

 

  • Design servers and networks; install routers and switches; implement identified solutions, actively seek out cost-effective and efficient infrastructure environment solutions.
  • Install network and system hardware from endpoints to servers. Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to hardware and software problems. Notify and escalate concerns when sensitive issues arise, or a major problem is suspected. Utilize modern technology to minimize network outages and productivity loss.
  • Manage network monitoring and handle or escalate depending on severity of situation. Evaluate logs for early warning signs and assess possible application problems in corporate network. Work to identify and solve problems rapidly, providing critical services to end users and customers.
  • Lead varied projects intended to continually improve and upgrade the corporate network environment. Propose and evaluate new software and hardware required to meet business needs or to make processes more cost effective.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain necessary hardware and software for the corporate network environment. Perform maintenance and release upgrades based on established schedule and assist with establishing said schedule.
  • Configure, support, and maintain corporate communications systems.
  • Perform ticket escalation in ServiceNow for Infrastructure assigned tickets and Requests.
  • Perform any Cybersecurity tasks as directed by IT Management. Configure and manage functional updates and implement areas for improvement IDS/IPS and Gateway AV, Firewall, and Antimalware activities.
  • Manage functions of log gathering, as well as any specific GPO/rules for Cybersecurity.
  • Comply with, work to, and provide support for all Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Laboratory management systems, policies, procedures, work instructions for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO/IATF 16949, and ISO17025.
  • Support compliance with all other applicable regulatory (such as OSHA) and company OH&S and EMS requirements.
  • Comply with all ACP Company rules, policies, procedures and report any/ all hazards, incidences and accidents identified and/ or witnessed directly to the supervisor/manager, and Plant Safety department.
  • Is aware of the significant impacts, associated aspects, and the legal requirements that are inherent with acquired duties, identified hazards, assessed risks, and implemented controls within his/her dept.
  • Experienced with working on projects, including daily/weekly updates, progress reports, and planning steps prior to beginning.

 

Skills & Proficiencies:

 

  • Skilled with computer and server hardware, Microsoft software and Operating Systems, and varied business programs. Specifically, VMWare Vcenter Enterprise Plus, Sonicwall or Meraki Firewall & Cisco Umbrella (OpenDNS) content filter.
  • Skilled with computer networks including subnetting, routing, DNS and DHCP. Specifically, Cisco & Meraki Architecture.
  • Ability to troubleshoot IT systems in corporate, commercial, and manufacturing environments. Specifically, Office 365 and supporting products.
  • Skilled in email support and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient with communications technology.
  • Familiar with Cybersecurity technologies.
  • Ability to document complex systems and network environments.
