Position : Software Architect Location : SFO, CA Duration : 6 months with potential extension We are looking for a highly motivated architect who has breadth across many software engineering disciplines (ideally full dev stack, SaaS, PaaS, quality, DevOps and mobile B.Sc./M.Sc. in information technology, business informatics or a related field 8+ years of industry experience: 3+ years proven experience in software IoT architecture design, ideally in a validated environment, focusing on scalability, security and compliance Recent (not > 2 years) and proven 5+ years hands on experience with various data integration, application integration, business process and data science tools (e.g. Kafka, Cassandra, Spark, Druid, etc) Solid track record in designing of large scale cloud based web solutions In-depth understanding of SQL & no-SQL information and data modeling Experience in designing web services using the RESTful paradigm and familiarity with API documentation (using Swagger, Apiary.io, Apigee, MuleSoft APi designer, etc) In-depth experience in producing formal and informal architecture documentation Very good communication skills and ability to influence non-technical stakeholders Experience working in global, virtual, large, high-performance teams and matrix environments Experience with the design, implementation and support of systems under medical device CSV Previous experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry or for a top software consultancy preferred Previous project management experience is advantageous Ability to travel internationally (10% - 20%) MUST Haves Hands-on experience or proven track record of delivery solutions relying on Apache Kafka (or other message broker software), CassandraDB (or other NoSQL databases), Spark. Proven track record of data modeling for big data Proven track record of IoT solutions delivered using the AWS ecosystem Proven track record of designing REST APIs using one of the common framework (e.g. Swagger) NICE to Haves Reactive programming Hands-on experience with the Eclipse Vert.x application framework GraphQL query language Proven track record of IoT solutions delivered using the MS Azure and GCP environments Experience in designing CI/CD Platform and automation solutions Note: Momento USA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
