Location – Englewood, CO – must be onsite day 1. This is 100% on site b/c this is in a lab environment as well as being a secure environment where certain things can’t leave the premesis

- Must understand mobile Android OR ios architecture as well and OS / mobile functionality, Modem functionality, etc. – He would LOVE it if someone had both IOS and Android
- Proven 5g experience with excellent P2P protocol knowledge, Layer 1, 2, 3
- 3GPP protocols and LTE
- Lots of troubleshooting and problems with mobile, antennas, core network – lots of debugging and Log analysis
- Knowledge on provisioning process, Device DSDS system architecture and eSIM technologies
- Test equipment and tools (protocol analyzers, LTE/5G system simulators, Wi-Fi analyzers and packet sniffers. protocol analyzers, LTE/5G system simulators)
About the project
Certification for all mobile device to the system.. This is a special network company is designing and requires new tech being added to the mobile device- Unique to companies in the US. Company is building from scratch. Two connection running in parallel. Can be on one mobile network or move to the other and there are advantages to the customer.
How the devices will be certified and validated in end-to-end environment. Deadlines are to complete ASAP. They are building out the entire process.

JOB SUMMARY
The Mobile Device Test Engineer is responsible for the development and engineering activities supporting Wireless Handset technologies. This candidate plays a key role in evaluating new technologies and services prior to the integration and deployment into Company’s network. The Handset development Engineer creates strategic test plans that ensure performance and stability of Wireless products in Company’s network ensuring the highest levels of customer and operational satisfaction. Technologies you will be supporting including 5G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth on Android and IOS devices.
You will collaborate with Network Architects and Product Development on business and technology requirements and assess vendor solutions to address the requirements. You will work with Network Architects to create detailed test plans and certification curriculums, proof of concept trials, and methodologies for analysis of performance criteria. You will develop test procedures for execution by cross-functional teams of device testers in external labs, oversee the execution of these tests, provide testing status to management, debug software and hardware issues in a lab environment, and work with device vendors to track and resolve issues found during testing.
Skills / Abilities and Knowledge: The more the better
Should have excellent knowledge of Android and/or IOS platforms.
Excellent knowledge of 3GPP standards (GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, 5G), 3GPP2 (1xRTT / EVDO) and/or OMA. Also good to have IEEE 802.11 specs and technology acknowledge.
Require knowledge on Device DSDS system architecture and eSIM technologies
Experience developing automation utilizing, C, JavaScript and/or Python programming languages.
Experience with handset manufacturers, network equipment vendors, and/or chipset vendors a plus.
Should have excellent knowledge with common mobile handset operating systems (Windows Mobile, Android, iOS and other Java-Linux platforms) and knowledge of UICC/SIM chipsets & modules relating to wireless devices Knowledge of RF or Network System Performance.
Should have knowledge of various Network adjuncts and services i.e. AAA, Diameter, EAP, PDSN, LTE Data, VoLTE, GRE, Soft GRE, L2TP, CAPWEP.
Experience using protocol communications test equipment and tools (protocol analyzers, LTE/5G system simulators, Wi-Fi analyzers and packet sniffers).
Understanding and/or experience working with the following is a plus: - DLNA, UPnP, oneM2M architecture - RRC, NAS, SIP, IMS, OSGI, and DHCP.
Experience with testing and Q/A of Layer 1 thru 7 networks
Experience writing and developing detailed test cases and test plans
Experience with network test equipment, such as Anritsu, Keysight/Ixia, Spirent, R&S, Spectrum Analyzers, Site Survey Planning tools, and Traffic Generators.
Must possess expert skills and experience with desktop operating systems and applications (Windows, MAC, and Unix/Linux).
