Middleware Specialist - Level 3 Toronto, ON Contact Role: Middlewear specialist - halfway between infrastructure and programmer. We are hosting service but we do all of the hosting and Middlewear for the project. We want this person to specialize in IBM DataPower which is a data transfer product that does gateways and other types of communications. Skills (see full matrix for details): Strong background in DataPower support, administration - 10+ years of experience Experience implementing DataPower IBM API gateway experience 5+ year Provide planning, consulting, technical analysis, design, deployment, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, upgrades and daily support of middleware products. General Skills Experience with applications servers Experience with message brokers Experience with messaging services Experience with adapters Experience with development framework/technologies Experience in middleware software installation, configuration, tuning and administration, as well as experience with application development Experience with change management and release management as processes supporting the implementation of large applications Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications Experience producing design artefacts, code, configurations, scripts, and test cases Ability to analyze the results from functional, security, load-and-stress testing and resolve reported issues Ability to analyze and solve data integrity, security, configuration and recovery issues Assess and test Change Requests (CRQ) with technical content and updating as necessary Ability to participate in release promotions/implementations Experience with middleware and gateways Experience on application monitoring and support A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines Desirable Skills Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices. Knowledge of portal services Knowledge of GO-PKI Security Infrastructure Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards Experience conducting system monitoring and performance and data integrity in accordance with ITIL standards Experience sustaining large application implementations based on the following technology products: o Windows Internet Information Server (IIS) o IBM HTTP Server, Apache o IBM WebSphere o Oracle Database 11g (and later) o Oracle Director Server Enterprise Edition o Solaris, Windows, AIX and Linux
