Job Description:
· The Cloud Applications Engineer at MicroStrategy Cloud plays an integral role designing and supporting customer tooling, automation, and Cloud services with a focus on the MicroStrategy Intelligence Platform.
· The Engineer will work closely with the Cloud Operations, Support and Technology’s Cloud Engineering.
· The Cloud Applications role offers the opportunity to design, create best practices, and evolve platform and architecture automation through understanding the customer’s implementations.
· Python skills are required, and strong knowledge of AWS is a bonus.
· Administer, manage and maintain automations and tooling in support of the MicroStrategy Intelligence Platform for the MicroStrategy Cloud (Intelligence Server, Web Server, Mobile Server, Usher Security suite, Developer, Systems Manager, Integrity Manager, R, Eclipse-SDK, etc)
· Coordinate, schedule and perform installation and configuration for the MicroStrategy Cloud environment delivery process (new deployments, upgrades, migrations, etc)
· Continue to learn and evolve the MicroStrategy deployments in the Cloud, in order to incorporate new functions and enhance the Cloud platform. Document the set up and work with the team on automating suitable tasks in Python
· Enhance, streamline and document the backend processes to continue scaling and simplifying the environment management
· Identify trends in affectations that require Technical Support involvement; design solutions to fix/prevent those affectations, either by automation or architectural improvements
· Provide Expert Services for stress testing, sizing, configuration audits, on-site implementation of best practices, performance tuning, ETL routines, Data modeling, among others Assist Customer Support to triage complex issues about the product and deployment on the Micro Strategy Cloud architecture as it relates to the automaton and configuration provided by the Cloud Applications team
