Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Create, maintain and support MicroStrategy projects, data marts, and ETL routines to support Business Intelligence projects.
Develop MicroStrategy reports, dashboards and mobile applications according to project requirements.
Work with end users to refine business requirements and transform them to technical design requirements.
Design reporting solutions for short term and long term based on the technical design requirements.
Analyze, develop and evaluate data in data warehouse environment including data design and database architecture.
Requirements:
7+ years of MicroStrategy development experience.
2+ years of experience with Power BI reporting service and reporting server.
In depth knowledge of MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Architecture (Version 10 or later), including project design, maintenance, report design, dashboard design, visual insights/dossier.
Skill in building and maintaining OLAP style data warehouses to support Enterprise Business Intelligence reporting tools.
Skill in writing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL language, demonstrated technical innovation, strong understanding of databases, and detailed knowledge of and experience with technical modeling.
Strong experience with SQL Server database.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization.
Nice to have:
Experience designing, developing and deploying query parameters, layout, filters, and analytics for customer business solution; experience designing data mart solutions including Star schema and cube designs; experience with data loading and the creation of data warehouses and/or data marts; hands-on ETL development; and/or experience reviewing ETL load jobs coded by others for consistency and quality.
Knowledge with Greenplum (other MPP systems like Teradata, Netezza ) and Snowflake database.
Visualization experience.
Experience designing, developing, deploying and maintaining new/revised reports; in depth experience creating standard reports and complex dashboards.
Experience in ensuring the collected data is within required quality standards.
