Job Description :
The City seeks a Microsoft 365 Power Platform developer to help envision and implement a Microsoft 365-based system to automate workflows for the IT governance “Gates” process. Currently OIT has a process of identifying technical projects, identifying a governance path, and performing technical reviews. While this process is documented in SharePoint lists and uses a few Power Apps forms for gathering data, it is managed manually You will apply your knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform functionality, and excellent design skills, to help City OIT automate review workflows, approvals and metrics/reporting all while keeping confidential data/documents secure, but sharing with the necessary people.
Work activities:
? Assess and digitally transform OIT’s Gates process – gather requirements, provide proposal and work with team to build solution(s)Create Power Apps/forms for project submissions and reviews
? Identify optimal methods using functionality available in Microsoft 365 to track and manage forms data
? Create automated workflows to facilitate document review processes using Microsoft Power Automate
? Automate notifications and task lists for document reviewers
? Ensure proper documentation of solution
? Transition knowledge to staff on solution support
Skills/experience of the assigned staff:
Required
• A Minimum of two (2) years full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience working with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and MS Power Platform.
• Experience developing Microsoft SharePoint Online sites
• Experience using Power Automate to create Document Review and Approval Workflows
• Developing complex SharePoint Lists
• MS Power Platform (Forms, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Dataverse)
• Able to translate process diagrams into functional requirements
• Able to prioritize large workstreams into actionable items
• Able to document complex processes and identify gaps
Highly Desired/Preferred
• Experience designing SharePoint workflows using multiple inputs, lists, and Power Automate processes.
• Dataverse experience is a plus
