Role: MDM Consultant
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: 6 months
The Data Management Analyst will help oversee day to day operations on a critical platform working
with cross functional teams in Technology and Business.
Responsibilities
Accountability for defining business capabilities needed to support objectives and the product roadmap to deliver
and support those capabilities.
Coordinate product / tool and selection leveraging internal evaluation framework
Primary liaison to product vendor (vendor roadmap, release management)
Primary liaison to program management/implementation (PMO)
Define and support the ongoing roadmap
Translates business capabilities into technical capabilities
Translates business requirements into technical requirements
Provide subject matter expertise for functions and capabilities to lines of business
Coordinate (business and technical) information security approvals
-Coordinate business testing
Serves as the tech/business resource assisting the Local Data Governance Working Group
Advises technical resources on data standards and monitors technical designs to recommend best practices to
recommend best practices to support metadata and data quality
Develop and execute Data Quality Rules for data elements
Supports the Product Owner with subject matter expertise in standards development and recommends technical
standards
Works closely with the Data Quality Steward and Data Owners to apply technical (product) Capabilities to solve
business data issues
Responsible for user acceptance testing of IT changes, upgrade patches, etc.
Active role in configuration options including business rules
Coordinate efforts with data owners to resolve technology oriented issues
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of the investment management industry specifically with investment mandates, investment
vehicle structures, investment operations, competitive landscape, reporting and regulatory environment.
Knowledge of MDM- ability to apply those principles to our existing platforms.
Knowledge of Informatica Hub, IDQ and IDD
Working knowledge of general data management practices, including but not limited to: Data management
standards and approaches, Data quality management (validation, data profiling, etc, Data governance practices,
including data governance program lifecycles, Data stewardship practices, and Data sourcing practices.
Hands on experience in developing and implementing data quality rules IDQ or other data quality Tool.
Excellent SQL query skills and understand of relational databases.
Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
