Job Description:
we would need a senior developer or tech lead level role (8+ years of experience) with past experience in COBOL on Mainframe to work on legacy GL/Accounting systems based on this technology.
We will also need the resource to have Informatica or similar ETL skills for data extraction, transformation and loading.
The domain skill needed is Life Insurance and Annuities line of business is the focus here.
Job Description
· Application Maintenance and Support.
· Assist the migration team in providing Mainframe support (Business Rules/Data Model)
· Bug fixing and resolution for Mainframe application
· Understand the business impact of project requirements and ensure adherence to the architecture by the technical team
· Drive technical interactions with the customer and team for effective requirement analysis and accurate estimation
· Possess domain knowledge and facilitate creation of conceptual prototypes for POCs
· Follow and improve technical processes, guidelines and best practices for the project
· Ownership of the understanding of architecture and non-functional requirements by the team
· Identification and communication of risks and issues.
