Job Description :

Role: Linux System Administrator

Location: Santa Clara CA (ONSITE)

Term: Long Term [3+ Years]

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated experience in LINUX install, configure, and upgrade of linux systems and servers.
• Linux OS administration - Ubuntu, Centos, and RedHat
• Demonstrable experience in Linux Server Support, designing, troubleshooting and storage
implementation.
• Ability to articulate standard methodologies for during implementation.
• Proven experience in risk-based systems running on UNIX / LINUX platforms along with
OS clustering, partitioning and virtualization.
• Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day UNIX-LINUX operating system installation migration and break-fix support.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills - DNS/DHCP/VLAN/Trunk/Firewall
• Support Vmware 6.5/6.7 cluster environment
• Managing and maintaining NAS/SAN infrastructure
• Active Directory administration - GPO, Event Log Audit is a Plus
• Maintain and troubleshoot Windows servers environment - • Apply Windows Patches, Remediate Windows Vulnerabilities, troubleshoot updates is a Plus

DataCenter related responsibilities will include:

• Install and configure new equipment for data centers - rack and stacking, cabling
• Preventative maintenance of data center equipment and devices Routine check
• Analyze servers and storage systems to identify and initiate repair

Soft skills:

• Critical thinker/problem solver – should come up with solutions, not just problems.
• Self-motivated and responsible, works independently and part of the remote team well.
