Job Description :

The client is looking for a Specialist 2. Linux Systems Administrator to support ongoing production maintenance and phased rollout implementation of the Linux patch management automation infrastructure.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Maintain and administer Unix/Linux servers supporting the infrastructure of critical citywide services.
Ensuring risk and vulnerability mitigation via automated patch management.
Function as technical representative for the group and work with various teams.
Work independently and prioritize tasks to meet monthly patching expectations.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in RedHat Enterprise Linux OS administration (6.x and above).

• Experience in Oracle Solaris OS administration (10.x and above).

• Perform OS upgrades and patch installations.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in Ansible Automation Platform.

• Experience in SE Linux functionality.

• Knowledge of Server virtualization and VMware VM.

• Knowledge of VMware administration and support experience.

• Knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESX and ESXi), vCenter Operations Manager.

• Experience with tools such as Science Logic and Service Now a plus.
