Job Summary:

Administers Red Hat based physical and virtual servers on Supermicro hardware and a VMware environment on CISCO UCS blades. Provide 2nd level support following ITIL processes using iVanti Service Manager for Problem, Incident, Request, and Change management. Support project work as required.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  1. Following ITL process, works as second level for Ivanti service requests, changes, incidences, and problem resolution for servers builds including all needed documentation that would follow a server build.
  2. Provides support for monthly patching of server infrastructure including and not limited to any meeting or requests for more information on patching.
  3. Works on automation of tasks using Bash, Python, ansible and other systems as requested.
  4. Administers hardware and hypervisors including but not limited to provisioning, patching, and configuration of Supermicro hardware.
  5. Primary owner of the creation of Work Instructions and validation of Work Instructions and/or procedures annually or as appropriate for update.
  6. Following ITSM processes, manage Linux and other systems including, Incident, Problem, and Changes for all Linux based servers.
  7. Participate in the on-call rotation
