Position: Linux Engineer (Day One Onsite Position)

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
· should be having minimum 8 years of experience in Core Linux Engineering preferably Redhat. RHEL certification on Engineering would be an added advantage.
· Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24/7 365 uptime service at client sites and our hosted environments.
• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
• Configuration management skillset mainly in Ansible
• Experience writing Bash/ksh shell scripting
· Contribute and create Technical documentation in support of the Unix/Linux Infrastructure
• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
• Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
• Actively support during DR schedules
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning, Manage, coordinate and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency and scalability of the environment
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
• Provide escalation-level technical support and system engineering for all Linux-based platforms
• Work with team members to perform regular system audit and security reviews, including evaluation, implementation and management of best practices in Red hat/Linux security

• Work with protocols such as SFTP, SSH, SMTP, LDAP conduct security risk assessments including the monitoring, investigation, remediation and reporting of security and access violations
• Engages external vendors when needed to solve complex problems or bugs
• Acts as a key member of the infrastructure Team by providing monitoring, investigation, and ongoing support to help maintain Linux operating systems.
• Manage patch schedules and Redhat satellite content promotion
• AWS cloud experience with EC2, VPCs, AMI (Golden image), CI/CD pipeline for deployments
• Knowledge of Linux IDM
