Overview:
Seeking a highly motivated and biometrics savvy Sr. Systems Administrators to join our Afghanistan Automated Biometric Identification System (AABIS) and Iraq Automated Biometric Identification System (IABIS) program located in Fairmont, WV. Join our dynamic and talented AABIS/IABIS team that enjoys a professionally rewarding experience working on state-of-the-art biometrics systems that enhance our national security. DoD Afghanistan and Iraq Automated Biometric Identification System (AABIS/IABIS) is a newly awarded five year contract.
Responsibilities:
Provides Linux and Windows systems administration services in an unclassified network environment
Monitors and tunes server and network performance
Supports Linux and Windows-hosted software application enhancement activities
Installs and configures operating system software and applications software
Performs diagnostics when necessary on servers, individual workstations, and the network fileserver
Isolates and resolves complex software problems involving the application, the operating system, the hardware, and the communications infrastructure
Maintains various databases running on Linux platforms
Performs system user administration functions
Supports all aspects of hosted software life cycle development, including requirements definition, design, code, debugging, verification and test, and maintenance of software modules
Configures servers to support software development, build, and test activities
Supports periodic system backups
Creates scripts and report queries
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience in Systems Administration and Information Assurance; may substitute five additional years of experience for a Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years of systems administration experience
RHEL 7 certified
IAT Level II certified with one of the following; GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security
Proficient with Linux and Windows systems administration
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certified
Working knowledge of Hadoop and HBASE
Excellent team player and communications skills
Proven ability to provide customer satisfaction
