Job Title : Lead AWS Engineer

Location : Bethesda MD

Duration : 6+ Months

Job Description:

  • They are looking for someone with AWS proficiency (Configuring , etc. ). They need to have experience with Python, Java, .NET or some kind of programming language.  Experience with Cloud Formation and Lambda Functions

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enhance Cloud engineering practice by automating manual business and IT processes in Amazon Web Services (AWS) with common Infrastructure as Code services such as CloudFormation, CodePipeline, SSM Automation Documents, Config Rules.
  • Build CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of both large and small scale systems.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests to validate infrastructure code.
  • Identify engineering defects in the existing code base and constantly improve the code quality.
  • Actively support operational teams and other stakeholder teams to maintain business continuation and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain configuration and support documentation.
  • Manage assigned project components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
     

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
  • 5-7 years experience required.
  • Broad knowledge of IT Systems engineering.
  • Coding skills in one or more languages.
  • Extensive understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.
  • Infrastructure scripting experience with maven, Linux/bash, python, groovy, PowerShell a plus.
  • Experience with developing harden baseline automation is a plus
