Role: Large Deals Solution Architect Location: Anywhere in US (50% Travel needed from JAN 2021 ) Duration: Full Time Job Description: Must have; Have created solutions in a pre-sales construct - across technology, execution roadmap, estimates and pricing Must have; Demonstrate problem solving skills Must have; Good understanding of various Software Architecture styles, Thick Client, 3 Tier, Web, Distributed, Integration, APIs, Cloud Native, Security, Data platforms Must have; Understand the macro trends around SaaS, Move to product teams, CX, automation, AI Must have; Ability to present to a leadership audience (CxO) Must have; Ability to express ideas well in written content; provide examples of articles in public domain, if available Must have; Understand engineering principles around agile, DevSecOps and the impact to organizations (product teams, financing model, etc) Preferred; Ability to articulate various offerings from public cloud providers. Ability to create high level cloud architecture Preferred; Able to create creative commercial models for IT cost optimization Preferred; Must be able to lead large RFPs or other proactive deals end to end; Large deal is defined as TCV > $50Mn Must Have; Should have worked in a SAP/ERP environment integrated with Digital Transformation initiatives Must have; Must be familiar with resourcing / staffing models (utility, shared services, location strategy) Preferred; previous experience in delivering complex programs Preferred; Should have good understanding of Gartner's pace layered architecture or Forrester's two speed IT or other similar constructs Desirable; Previous experience in consulting engagements and the ability to abstract complex constructs What You ll Need To Be Successful Ability to create and effectively deliver technology solution presentations to address specific customer needs Broad understanding of various technologies and frameworks across all architecture tiers Working knowledge of on-premise/cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, Agile, and deployments/configurations and definition/evangelism of best practices/standards Experience driving technical workshops with technical and business clients to derive value added services and implementations Ability to influence a wide audience and bring consensus in diverse group of people Think creatively and develop a unified solution that best represents a sum total of HCL practices aligned toa customer need Accountability, high energy and hands-on leadership are key personality traits What You ll Achieve 3 months Able to clearly articulate HCL s digital offerings, transformation approach and accelerators that differentiate HCL Develop a good understanding of HCL s past digital transformation engagements and be able to talk about them with conviction Participate in HCL Technical Product and Consulting Services training, methodology, and enablement Begin participation in field activities with clients and practicing enablement gained from training Take ownership of at least two large bids transcending Digital solutions with other ERP cores and operating model transformation 12 months Continue to support D&A sales teams to grow business by winning new deals Identify opportunities to expand HCL footprint and drive further services and customer service, and drive partnerships and cross collaboration with HCL partners, SIs, and 3rd Parties Evangelize, train, coach, and mentor Services team members on hard technical skills and soft skills Identify opportunities and efficiencies in customers IT operating model, and support implementation of the SLDC pipeline to get greater value out of the HCL platform. Develop reusable content such as blog posts and technical whitepapers.
