Job Title - Lab Support Engineer 1
Duration - 6 Months possibility to extend
Location - Onsite - Local to Durham, NC
Hours - Standard Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM CST (Flexibility here etc. 9 - 6 OR 7 - 4)

Must be W2 Essential Skills - • Knowledge of UNIX / Linux and Windows Server plus basic VMware Knowledge. • Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and repair with storage equipment • Basic understanding of networking and TCP/IP • AAS Degree similar certifications or equivalent experience preferred • Solid familiarity with Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail • Ability to repetitively lift 70 lbs. for installation of Dell products • Ability to work occasional off hours • Experience working with ITSM such as ServiceNow • Experience working with Project Management Tools

Day to Day Responsibilities - Infrastructure Engineering & Operations (IEO) Lab Operation team is looking for a hands-on, passionate, results-oriented individual to help, implement and support IEO’s ever growing datacenter footprint in Durham NC.
As a Lab Support Engineer, you will be working with a talented team of engineers to create new projects and manage existing projects plus day-to-day lab operations that can support the ever-growing demand of a very fast-moving organization. Successful candidates will be obsessed with operational excellence, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of improving efficiencies by way of innovation and forward planning. Our organization’s customers require creative engineering balanced with high quality and focus. Your days will be a combination of helping understand and prioritize issues and product vulnerabilities and contributing to the overall growth and robustness of the organization. Essential Skills -

• Ability to communicate with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization
