Role: Kafka Engineer or Kafka Developer Data Streaming Platform Engineer (Kafka) Location: 100% remote Duration: 12 Months Must have: Confluent Kafka (at least knows the platform, doesn?t need to be expert) Ansible CI/CD ? Jenkins but decommissioning and going to GitHub Kubernetes (plus) Project: ? Updating the platform from old to new using Kafka ? Kafka is still being implemented ? Platform is built ? still doing configurations ? some were set up incorrectly so fixing according to PT policies ? No streams in production, still doing the testing and making sure connectors working ? 70% support troubleshooting apps team might come to them and say not seeing the data, do you know what?s going on, issues with connectors etc., backend design ? 30% is dedicated to implementation manual to automated building pipelines etc. ? One project is big project ? Claims project (RS Renew) still using IVM servers for Rx claims, so updating that ? moving the claims data to mongoDB and want to stream the data so it?s more up to date ? passing the streams through confluent kafka ? connectors from the source, some are mongo, some are GCP ? Other tool in the middle Qlik ? connects sources and helps extract the data ? This team is responsible to make sure the data can be received from the streams Must have: ?
