Junior Java & Jakarta EE Developer
Alamon in Kalispell, Montana, has an opening for a full-time Junior Java & Jakarta EE Developer (Full Stack, Java SE 11, Jakara EE 9) for application development in its information technology department.
This job is for a novice to intermediate-level developer with a strong willingness to learn. Our projects include both maintenance of legacy applications as well as green field projects. Opportunity to work on mobile (Android, iOS) as well depending on applicant interest.
Candidate should have experience with or be highly motivated to master:
Java, Jakarta EE 9; WildFly 21+; PostgreSQL 12+; JSF/Primefaces, JPA/Hibernate, Kotlin
Our essential development tool kit includes:
IntelliJ 2021+, NetBeans 8.2; Git 2.30+; Gradle 6.5+, Ubuntu Linux 21.04+,
Position duties and requirements
- A can-do work attitude.
- Quickly learn and master Java/Java EE development
- Quickly learn and master Java/Java EE development Tools
- Collaborate with Android Developers
- Learn Current APIs as required
- Take coaching, advice, and guidance from members of the organization's management and team members regarding all technical issues that pertain to the planning, designing, developing, procuring, implementing, operating, and maintaining of IT systems.
- Willingness to learn and apply new developments to previously unsolvable problems and makes decisions or recommendations.
- Provide research and advice, and recommendations to department management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues and emerging technologies.
- Experience and use of Cloud services: Amazon Webservice, Google Webservices a plus
- Python a plus
Salary for this position is $35,000 to $45,000 per year. (DOE) Please take the lower cost of living in Kalispell into your evaluation of the base salary offering.
