Job Summary:
Fragrance.com is seeking a JR. Business Analysts to participate in a blended team of 4-6 members throughout the design, development, testing, and implementation of a solution.  This is a hybrid position- Candidates must be able to commute to Deer Park, NY

Responsibilities:
  • Provide status on project milestones, alerting client/project manager of any potential delays.
  • Tracks and fully documents change for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
  • Defines and documents company business functions and processes. As processes change keep documents up to date. Documents will form a library of standard operating procedures that may also be used for training new workers on process.
  • Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users and IT in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems in support of business processes.
  • Take meeting notes and distribute them to meeting participants.
  • Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users.
  • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes and function.
  • Assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
  • Plans, organizes, and conducts business process reengineering/improvement projects.
  • Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality and releases.
  • All other duties as assigned.
 
 

Required Experience/Skills:
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a business analyst or project manager role
  • Internet retail experience is a plus
  • Business and technical knowledge to communicate effectively
  • Understanding of how software is built to clearly document enhancements
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Understanding of and practical experience with software development lifecycles, including functional and technical specifications, implementation, QA processes, deployment is a plus.
