Main tech stack: Java Object orientation Web services Spring / spring boot Position: Sr. Software Engineer Location: McLean, VA + REMOTE -till Covid- 19 Model: 90 day contract to hire. Client is going through a large scale modernization/transformation. They are updating their tech stack to include Java, Spring Boot, Angular (6+), Docker, Jenkins, NoSQL (Mongo specifically), microservices, and AWS. They are also going to a modern delivery (CI/CD pipeline) approach. As well as incorporating Test Driven Development methodsquot; Tech Stack: Aws building applications Java Spring / spring boot CICD Jenkins Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible MongoDB Angular Microservices Agile, DevOps, Test Driven Development Application Development and Technology Stack Develop software code using Java and Angular JS, JavaScript and SQL Server, MongoDB Identify and implement best practices in software development by leveraging modern delivery technique Willing to adapt and learn new cutting-edge technologies Communication and Adaptability Should have excellent communication skills and willing to work in a team of motivated software engineers Willing to get the holistic view and adapt/align technical deliverables with the business requirements Operation and Technology Review and optimize application architecture Support existing operational items and gracefully transition to the new technology stack Lead technical implementation and designing effort Qualifications Typically has minimum 5 years of related experience Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience Required Skills: Java Angular JS, JavaScript, CSS, Rest, Tomcat Database development - MongoDB, Angular JS Keys to Success in This Role Strong technical background (Java and Angular JS development) Team player (collaborate across the teams) Top Three Personal Competencies to Possess Partnership: Speak up, be honest and be candid (and encourage others to speak up too) Drive for Execution: Treat obstacles as challenges to overcome, not excuses
