The MDM Developer will participate in and provide guidance for the development of work instructions, automated scripts and maintains master data records to support master data standards and requirements. Provides expert advice, counsel, and technical leadership to ensure successful deployment of best-in-class MDM solutions using the IBM Infosphere MDM toolset.
Leads the design and development of customized MDM code and services. This role requires a solid understanding of database design, data models, data mapping techniques, data transformation, data quality, and data integration processes. Works in partnership with other developers, architects, subject matter experts, integration analysts and other IT team members to establish the technical vision for MDM at UKHC.
Expertise with MDM data models, matching rules, trust frameworks, complex hierarchy relationship management, and data governance. Performs checkpoints and reviews of designs and code being created by MDM developers, and ensures developers are applying appropriate standards in all deliverables
Skill Sets Required:
Qualified candidates must have a deep knowledge of Data quality tools, including data profiling, cleansing and identity resolution, preferably with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management (MDM), Patient Hub and Provider Hub. This individual should have experience with Business Process Modeling. Qualified candidates must have experience with best practice driven design and development, installation, and performance tuning of an MDM product and process, as well as match rule tuning to ensure timeliness and quality of the end product. This individual should have experience leading, performing solution design, implementing, and supporting robust and complex MDM initiatives. Qualified candidates must be able to act as lead developer responsible for planning, coordination, and completion of MDM work activities for projects involving one or more MDM developers. This individual must have experience interpreting business needs and converting them into technical requirements, including defining use cases and test scenarios. Qualified candidates have experience conducting Quality Assurance (QA) code reviews on MDM components and conducting regression testing within the MDM repository. This individual should have experience with SQL, TSQL or PL/SQL and Java. The ideal candidate has been exposed to data governance solutions, has experience in data and information modeling, and is able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Skill Sets Preferred:
Experience working with healthcare data in a large academic medical center which includes a level 1 trauma center, multiple hospitals, clinics and affiliates. Experience working with the tools in an IBM Enterprise Data Warehouse including PureData for Analytics (PDA), Unified Data Model for Healthcare (UDMH) and the Infosphere Information Server Family of Products (DataStage, Information Analyzer, etc Master’s degree preferred.
