Basic Qualification:
Multiple initiatives with 3rd party Cloud – AU MPS aka Consent, Corporate Cloud-DC2020 to start with.
To lead the strategical analysis for improvements, models and new products in close liaison with Marketing, customers, management and third-party suppliers.
To produce, evaluate and validate complex architecture approaches/designs requiring highly technical knowledge, for major/complex/high risk projects.
To provide expert technical assistance during design activities and to resolve issues ensuring adherence to design.
To participate in multi-disciplinary project teams to provide expert knowledge. To lead major size/complexity/system risk design review.
To provide input to the definition of the ITOPS strategy.
To act as resource to train and guide less senior architects.
To coordinate and lead customer and third-party contacts regarding design activities.
To access external research information by developing and maintaining advanced level technical contacts.
To maintain expert knowledge of architecture technologies and future industry trends.
Additional Comments:
Senior presence, ability to engage and communicate with varied audience – Developers, Architects, Management; using written, verbal presentation style of communication are all required.
Must be able to hand on run proof of concepts, perform technology selection and recommendation, document designs, etc.
Architecting Resilient Multi-tier Cloud solutions based on foundational technology in AWS or Azure - AWS (EC2, AMIs, EBS, VPCs, Availability Zones, regions, S3, Lambda, EKS) or Azure equivalents (Azure VM, Images, Azure Storage/Disk, Zones, Regions, VNETs, AKS, Azure functions)
Cloud Provider data services e.g. AWS (Aurora, RDS, ElastiCache), Azure (SQL, COSMOS, Azure Cache)
3rd party DBs in cloud - MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, Oracle
Cloud network services AWS or Azure
Cloud Security - IAM, Organizations, Directory, Cloud HSM, KMS - Azure or AWS equivalents
Cloud Monitoring Technology - Cloudwatch, App Insights, 3rd party solutions
Cloud Automation Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD Pipelines for Cloud automation as well as CI/CD in the cloud
Foundational Understanding of Linux, Networking
Senior architect level expertise on at least Azure or AWS with ability to quickly be productive in the other and with GKE if needed
Architecting migration of mission critical workloads to Azure or AWS, defining Cloud reference architecture and architecting Reference Implementations. Building Cloud adoption frameworks and principles
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or master’s degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field.
