Windows and Linux (RHEL) administration Working knowledge of server load balancing, clustering and other application scaling concepts. Scripting to automate frequently executed activities. Orchestration of Infrastructure using Ansible and/or SaltStack. Container platform management and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes and/or Swarm. Experience supporting private and public cloud platforms (ie. Cloud Foundry, IBM Cloud, and Microsoft Azure Knowledge and experience with security components, such as SiteMinder, LDAP, SSL certificates and other third party security products. Knowledge of messaging queues such as IBM MQ, Kafka and RabbitMQ. Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. Experience in using monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk. Experience in supporting vital WAS and/or tcServer environments Experience in installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and administering various application server stacks (web servers, application servers, caches, message queues Must possess a familiarity of the Java programming languages to assist developers in debugging applications. Experience in installing fix packs and DST patches. Ability to work independently and manage one''s time. MAJOR JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide on-going support for existing systems. Quarterly operating system patching for supported platforms. Scheduled patching of software development applications such as Java JDK. Document standard procedures and update runbooks. Participate in planning, designing, developing, testing, and supporting of systems and interfaces within current projects. Process the installation and testing of infrastructure hardware and software. Monitor performance of platforms and determine opportunities to refine the configuration of a component and/or determine new system requirements. Proactively identify troublesome IT platforms to investigate and mitigate potential issues. Anticipate and act upon issues that arise, providing alternative approaches and solutions. Stay current with systems technology best practices and quickly adapt to emerging technologies. Work with cross functional teams to support Infrastructure Platforms. This would include enterprise services, application teams, vendors, and business partners. Provide appropriate and timely feedback on the status of current efforts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor''s Degree or Master''s Degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field.
